Community Traineeships Pilot Program

Referrals for this program are currently closed.

TaskForce is connecting young people living in Greater Dandenong with traineeships in the community sector.

How does the traineeship work?

Trainees will be placed with a community organisation according to their preferences and availability, and complete a paid full-time traineeship, getting real job experience while earning an accredited Certificate IV in Community Services.

Host organisations might include youth services, homelessness services, agencies supporting people from specific cultural backgrounds or mental health services.

We work with the trainee to help them access any services needed and overcome any barriers that might keep them from completing the program.

What happens after completing the traineeship?

By the end of the traineeship, trainees will have had 12 months full-time experience, a Certificate IV in Community Services, and pathways to ongoing employment in the community sector.
